Sanitation, Water and Fodder
Animal welfare is a high priority for MIRA and all our shipping vessels are equipped with the latest in livestock supply facilities, including modern feeding, watering and ventilation systems. MIRA is continually working to improve its operations and approach to animal care to ensure they meet international standards.
On the vessel
Our vessel are equipped with the highest technologies which monitor animal’s welfare and safety.
Our automatic machines will provide constantly clean water and fodder as well as ventilation to ensure livestock are shipped to the highest standards in animal care and safety.
The supervision of the ventilation system is consistent and incessant, a good ventilation system on our vessels is vital for the good health and welfare of sheep and cattle on board.
Livestock are provided at all times with clean and immaculate fodder which are furnished by state-of-the-art equipment/machineries.
Voyage
During the voyages on our vessels we have veterinarians and stockmen accompanying the sheep and cattle at all time and supervising their good health and cleanliness.
Once the animal are discharged at the POD as well they go under quarantine and are inspected by local authorities who issues relevant certificates and give permission to enter into the country.
